This Privacy Policy explains what information of yours will be collected by GMiS when you use greatmindsinstem.org, how the information will be used, and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of information. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

GMiS created its policy with a fundamental respect for the rights to privacy of our clients – students, teachers, faculty, administrators and professionals - and visitors.

The GMiS Website is accessible by all who visit the Website. Some GMiS Website content may be accessed only by GMiS staff, consultants, committees or board members.

Information Collection and Use
When registering for our events, completing scholarship applications or travel grants, submitting nominations, or signing up for certain services (such as newsletter subscriptions or access to GMiS educational resources), visitors may be asked for information about themselves, including but not limited to contact information (i.e. name, e-mail address, mailing address and phone number) and/or demographic information (i.e. gender, race/ethnicity, educational background, career, job title, and company information)

If you submit a scholarship/travel grant application or HENAAC Award nomination, you are asked for personal information such as education level, interests, and years of experience. This information is used to better understand our scholarship recipients and honorees. Part of this information is disclosed to outside parties for the sole purpose of highlighting the esteemed recognition of our awardees. We have features through which you may submit information (such as our feedback forms). Requests for service, support or information may be forwarded as needed to best respond to a specific request. Under some circumstances, we may retain e-mails and other information sent to us for our internal administrative purposes, and to help us better serve our clients.

From time to time, we may invite you to provide information via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary. Therefore, you have a choice whether to disclose requested contact information (such as name and mailing address) and demographic information (such as zip code or job title). In addition to other uses set forth in this policy, contact information collected in connection with surveys is used to notify the winners and may be shared with sponsors of such surveys.
